Located in the active fishing village of Southwest Harbor on Mount Desert Island. The air is crisp and clean, the mountains come down to the sea, the natural wonders of Acadia National Park are just a few steps away. The bed and breakfast is furnished to create a warm and inviting environment. Our philosophy of food is basic to good health - 'eat organically produced food whenever possible'. We like to consume food grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics or growth hormones. We buy our food from local organic farmers that share the same values. We've been producing our own organic vegetables, and medicinal and culinary herbs at The Yellow Aster since opening ten years ago.
