Formerly the home and office of the local doctor, from 1907 to the 1950s. The Doctor's Inn is a fine example of a traditional country home from the 1860s, with beautifully landscaped grounds. Stroll through the two acre organic market garden, which has fifty varieties of vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers in season. The inn serves up one of Atlantic Canada's most memorable dining experiences. Extraordinary salads feature produce from their own garden, where more than two dozen lettuce varieties are grown. A choice of entrees - scallops, Arctic char, salmon and veal are very popular - cooked on the woodstove in an old-fashioned kitchen. Wonderful fresh baked desserts.
