Historic mountain inn, one of the most complete and best preserved groups of 19th century farm buildings in western North Carolina. The restaurant features contemporary regional cuisine, using only the freshest ingredients, minimally processed, and as much as possible organically and / or locally grown. The inn's own organic vegetable gardens produce lettuce, spinach, carrots, peas, beets, basil and other herbs, tomatoes, beans, squash, potatoes, raspberries and a famous rhubarb patch. All the herbs and vegetables make their way into meals at the inn - salads are made from garden grown greens in season, and many of the specials revolve around the vegetable harvests.
