Gamirasu is an exquisitely restored eighteen room cave house in Ayvali village, near Urgup in the heart of Cappadocia. It is located in a restored 1000 year old Byzantine monastic retreat, and offers modern conveniences without distracting from the spiritual feeling of the area. The excellent fresh food from the hotel kitchen is all organic. Breakfast includes homemade bread, clotted cream, honeycomb and fresh fruit - served on the pretty walled terrace in the summer months and in a naturally furnished cave room in the winter. Depending on the season visitors may even experience local agricultural activities and see for themselves the process of drying apricots, harvesting apples, or wine making.
