Sympathetic eco-renovation of an old bar / shop in St Jean le Thomas. The town house property offers accommodation in five bedrooms and has two bathrooms. There's a large downstairs living / dining area with a kitchen, and a separate old bar space for watching the world go by. A wood-burner with a back boiler connected via an accumulator tank heats the reclaimed radiators and also provides a secondary heat source to the solar water heating system. The permaculture inspired vegetable and herb garden has a covered area for sitting and there is a barbecue area. Within a few hundred metres there are coastal cliff and country paths, a beach, two beach bars, a restaurant, tourist info, general store, baker, butcher, etc.
