Situated in a small village in the Arctic countryside surrounded by forest, wetlands and rivers, Aurora Retreat offers visitors the chance to experience Lapland off the beaten track. The guesthouse is an old vicarage that has been newly renovated in a simple but elegant style using natural materials. Catering is with organic, vegetarian and locally produced products - about 80%-100% of the food we serve at any given meal is organic. We are committed to sustainability practices that maintain and restore the health of natural ecosystems, local economies and the well-being of our guests. Activities available include bread baking, handicraft, yoga and relaxation, walking, cycling, and cross-country skiing.
