Located in the small parish of Santa that belongs to the village of Porto Moniz. The cottage is a recent construction, designed with rustic simplicity in a traditional Madeirian style. Near the cottage we enter the countryside, where one can find fields filled with socalcos used for local agriculture, which is still mainly manual. Through frequent dialogue, we alert the local population about the inauspicious consequences to the environment of using chemical products in agriculture. Our long term objective is the widespread implementation of biological agriculture. In the back of the cottage we have our own little biological vegetable garden, with cabbage, parsley, aromatical and tea herbs planted.
